Jadeveon Clowney’s return to Browns lends more validity to team’s Super Bowl odds

The Cleveland Browns continue to add to their roster heading into the 2022 season, and this time they’ve made a splash on the defensive side of the ball.

Cleveland reportedly re-signed passing thrower Jadeveon Clowney after having a strong season for the team in 2021. Clowney recorded nine sacks and 11 tackles for a loss for the Browns last season.

Clowney is a perfect match with Defensive Player of the Year nominee Myles Garrett, and his return certainly gives the Browns a better chance of winning the AFC North and AFC this season.

Right now, WynnBET Sportsbook has the Browns at +1,500 to win the Super Bowl in 2022, and while those odds might seem a little surprising, the team should be much improved at quarterback with Deshaun Watson.

Watson’s status for the 2022 season is still up in the air as he could be suspended, which is why I’m holding off on placing any forward bets on the Browns. However, Clowney’s return could help the Browns rely on their strong running game and defense to carry them in case Watson misses games.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Clowney is expected to continue wreaking havoc in Cleveland next season.
